PDXmojo.com brings you news and information about Portland, Oregon real estate. It features resources for home owners and sellers, updates on home values and real estate activity, insights into various neighborhoods, commentary on the PDX lifestyle, livability, and people. I try my best to discover just what creates that Portland “magic” (a.k.a, mojo) that people seems to love. Most people would agree that it ISN’T the rain.
About Jody
I have a diverse career background (Human Resources, sales, administrative jobs), a B.S. in Communications from the University of Oregon, and past experience in rehabbing/reselling homes. This diversity all seemd to point me in the direction of becoming a real estate broker. I have an honest, straightforward personality and a detail-oriented nature which I think makes me a great fit.
I truly enjoy helping clients understand the home buying and selling process. And no, I don’t drive a fancy car and I am not just out to make a quick buck. I work hard for my clients and do my best to be the antithesis of the “low-life real estate agent” sterotype. I am delighted when I receive positive feedback from past clients and do everything in my power to provide great customer service.
I recently received my Earth Advantage Certification for real estate agents and am excited about sharing this new knowledge with my clients. I am doing my best to change my lifestyle, hoping to lower my carbon footprint and become more “green”, both in my business practices and my personal life. I will be focusing more on the green side of real estate and will be sharing this in future posts.
Besides real estate, I am an avid gardener, an over-acheiving home remodeler, an amateur genealogist, a sometime photographer and a closeted artist. I have 2 teenage sons (gasp!) and a long-term significant other. I have two Cairn Terriers (scrappy little dogs), one I call the “old man” and a 2 year old that I swear is more cat than dog. I am active in my community and currently sit on the Board of the Pittock Mansion Society as editor of their newsletter and email communications. Oh, and did I mention? I’m also a chocoholic.

Is pdx common slang abbreviation for Portland?
Thanks, Joe! Very nice of you to say so. To answer your question, I am a local real esate broker, but there is not a company called PDXMojo. I work for a Company called Advanced Real Estate Services. There is a link on my contact page.
Hey, I went and took a look at your site (http://www.columbushomesblog.com). Quite nice! I’m glad you stopped by. And yes, many folks call Portland PDX. It is the code for the Portland Airport. -Jody
